Welcome Back Cougars!
I am working hard to help you have a great school year. This year, I will be working with students who are credit deficient. I work with our credit recovery program to help students find a path to their diploma. There are many reasons for students to fall behind. Many are out of their control. We want you to know that we will work with you to make up missed or failed classes and recover all the credits you need to get back on track. We will also help you to learn how to improve in areas that matter for your future: self-discipline, resiliency, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and so much more. When your plan is in place, I will also help you explore options for after high school. We will figure out who you are and what you are interested in. I will help you begin to take steps as you make the plan for your future. See you soon!
A Little About Me
After growing up in a big family in Southern California, we moved to Arizona right before my senior year of high school. I went to Northern Arizona University for my bachelor's degree and began teaching elementary school. I moved into teaching high school and went back to school at Grand Canyon University for my master's degree. After having taught every grade from preschool through adults, I found that I have a passion for helping students figure out who they are, where they are going, and how to get there. So, I became a school counselor. I have three (3) kids, all grown, and a husband who has taken us on some great adventures throughout his military career. We are very happy living in Casa Grande and being a part of this great community. I look forward to helping our students as they navigate through high school and make plans for their futures.
