Preston, Heather

Welcome

I’m Heather Preston. I am honored to join the CGUHS Counseling team. I bring 16 years of campus-level leadership in Arizona serving in the roles of Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Principal from preschool through high school. I was a classroom teacher for 11 years working in kindergarten and first, second, and fifth grades. One of my favorite jobs was being a school librarian.

My education includes a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood from University of Texas El Paso. I also earned a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Northern Arizona University.

My top priority is ensuring that all students receive an exemplary education in a setting that is safe and inspiring. I believe that parents, teachers, staff, and administrators are all part of a team who supports each student to achieve excellence.

I am originally from El Paso, Texas, and I love living in the southwest. I am married. My husband and I have raised an adult daughter and son. I am passionate about music, books, and games. I can’t wait to start an amazing relationship with you.
