Hello, Cougars! My name is Beth Lizarraga and this is my first year as a School Counselor at Casa Grande High School. I am a proud Arizona native and have lived in Pinal County for the past 22 years. I grew up in Tucson and graduated from Amphitheater High School. After high school, I attended the University of Arizona and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. Go CATS! Later, I went back to school and earned my Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University. I worked for many years in the behavioral health setting as a Kinship Navigator and an Intensive Case Manager. I am proud to be serving the students of Casa Grande and the surrounding area. My passion is prevention and I want to help all students achieve their educational and career goals.
I am married and have two children in college who attended Casa Grande Union. I also have two dogs and a cat. In my spare time, I like spending time with my family, hiking, reading, watching movies, and listening to music.
While I realize that 2020-2021 has been a difficult time for everyone, I hope to work with students on building a plan to improve the future through goal setting and self-efficacy. I look forward to meeting and working with you all.
