Title VI, Part A, Native American Education Program

The Casa Grande Union High School District (CGUHSD) receives Title VI, Part A, formula funding authorized through the federal Office of Indian Education. Funding is based on the total number of enrolled students with a completed Title VI Student Eligibility Certification Form 506. This program is designed to address the unique cultural, language and educational needs of attending Native American students to ensure they meet the challenging Arizona State Academic Standards. All district Native American students are eligible to participate in the program intended to provide highly relevant, culturally-based academic learning experiences that improve their skill-set(s), while addressing the needs of the “whole child/person.” Students are typically eligible for supplemental educational assistance such as tutoring/credit recovery and also assistance with various educational fees (course fees, SAT/ACT testing fees, summer school tuition, cap/gown etc.).
