(VGHS) Faith Granderson was recognized Monday, April 7, as the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. Faith was nominated by her CTE JROTC Marine Corps teacher, 1stSgt Griego:
“As a second-year student, Faith has truly become the leader who all JROTC Marine Corps instructors want leading in the program. She has been instrumental in the success of not only her class where she is leading from the front but the JROTC program. An active member of the JROTC Rifle & Raider Team, Faith can always be found helping the team members who are struggling. In the classroom, she is a no-nonsense leader, always setting an example for others to strive for. Her dedication does not stop there as she has contributed numerous hours of her time supporting the various community service projects and giving back to the community. No matter how great her accomplishments are, Faith is very humble and lets her actions speak for herself. You can always find her mentoring other first and second year students no matter how busy her schedule is, Faith continues to help when and where needed bringing great credit upon herself and the JROTC Marine Corps program.”
Faith’s parents are Mr. Pamie & Mrs. Neelam Granderson of Casa Grande, Arizona.
Over 1,624 students are enrolled in 13 different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a different CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor.
