(VGHS) Mia Gutierrez was recognized as the November Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month during the district’s Governing Board meeting on Tuesday, November 12. Mia was nominated by her CTE Culinary Arts Teacher, Mrs. Maria Walters: "I am delighted to inform Mia Gutierrez that she has been selected as the November Culinary Arts Student of the Month. This recognition is a testament to her exceptional skills, dedication, and passion for the Culinary Arts. Mia’s commitment to excellence in both the classroom and the kitchen has not gone unnoticed whether it’s her position as FCCLA Vice President or hours of community service. From her innovative approaches to recipe development to her ability to work seamlessly under pressure, she has consistently demonstrated the qualities of a true culinary artist. Mia's enthusiasm and willingness to go above and beyond in every task are truly inspiring. As the Culinary Arts Student of the Month, she embodies the spirit of creativity and hard work that we strive to cultivate in our program. Mia's ability to collaborate with her peers, share her knowledge, and maintain a positive attitude makes her a role model for other students." Mia’s parents are Mr. Adalberto and Mrs. Lisa Gutierrez of Casa Grande, Arizona. Over 1,624 students are enrolled in 13 different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District.
