(CGUHS) Amaya Rosena Fisher was recognized Tuesday, February 11, as the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month during the district’s Governing Board meeting. Amaya was nominated by her CTE Marketing Teacher, Mr. David Carter.
“Amaya is in her 3rd year of the Marketing/DECA program. She has become the backbone of our program. Amaya is currently serving as the Finance Vice President on our CGUHS DECA Board of Directors. She consistently has top grades, has the dedication to earn those grades, is dependable, and has the initiative to not only get things done, but to see things that need to get done, and make them happen! I cannot put into words how thankful I am to have her in our program and how excited I am to see how much more she is going to accomplish and the success she is going to experience!”
Amaya’s parents are Mr. Brodrick Fisher & Ms. Adriana Lucio of Casa Grande, Arizona.
Over 1,624 students are enrolled in 13 different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a different CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor.
