(CGUHS) Casa Grande Union High School proudly welcomed alumnus Major General (MG) Eric Shirley to the CTE JROTC Marine Corps classroom. A Casa Grande native, MG Shirley has had an illustrious military career, serving in key roles across the globe.

After graduating as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the University of Arizona in 1993, MG Shirley was commissioned as a Quartermaster Officer in the U.S. Army. His achievements include earning a Master’s Degree in Military Art & Science and completing advanced military programs at institutions such as Stanford University.

MG Shirley has held numerous leadership positions, including serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and with Operation Warp Speed to accelerate COVID-19 vaccine distribution. His dedication has earned him multiple prestigious awards, including the Defense Superior Service Medal and induction into the Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.

We’re honored to have MG Shirley inspire our JROTC Marine Corps students with his incredible journey of service, leadership, and excellence!
