(VGHS) Diego Jimenez was recognized Monday, December 9, as the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month during the district’s Governing Board meeting. Diego was nominated by his CTE Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher, Mrs. Lisa Cassalata.
“Diego is an outstanding ECE Internship student. This is his 3rd year in Early Childhood Education. Diego has always gone above and beyond in this program. He has completed his Food Handler and CPR certifications for his Industry Credentials. As my first-year teaching in Early Childhood Education, Diego has stepped up and been of great value to me and our program. He is our FCCLA Early Childhood Education CTSO President and taken the lead and done a wonderful job. Diego is also always willing to help and assist where he can in the preschool program. He has also taken college classes to advance his education. Diego is a hard worker and his willingness to participate and assist in our program is greatly appreciated."
Diego’s parents are Mr. Cirilo Jimenez & Mrs. Marili Ramirez of Casa Grande, Arizona.
Over 1,624 students are enrolled in 13 different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a different CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor.
