(CGUHS) Kurt Kieser, PE/Health Teacher, received the Stepping Out From Behind The Counter Award. Throughout the year, he has been instrumental in helping all the seniors, in particular, making sure that graduation remains a possibility because they have passed their CPR test. Kurt has traveled to individual ESS teachers' classrooms and had large groups in the library, wrestling room, ICR room - anywhere students were who needed to be tested. He gave up his planning period over and over again to make sure this was completed. A great many students owe their graduation, in part, to his willingness to step out from behind the counter.
