(CGUHS) Peyton Elliott was recognized Monday, May 6, as the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. Peyton was nominated by her CTE AgriScience Teacher Miss Kaylin Buzard: “Peyton Elliot is a spectacular student in the AgriScience III class. She is currently serving as the 2023/2024 Casa Grande FFA Secretary. She has shown cattle at the Pinal County Fair for her Supervised Agricultural Experience over the last three (3) years. Peyton is extremely involved in showing livestock. She serves as the 4H President for the Casa Grande Big Hogs Club. Peyton holds many leadership positions including being a Youth Rep for Pinal County Livestock and an Ag Ambassador for Pinal County Farm Bureau. After graduation, Peyton will attend the University of Arizona this Fall with an intent to major in Agricultural Education. Peyton’s parents are Mr. Daniel Elliott of Mesa, Arizona, and Mrs. Amy Vance of Casa Grande, Arizona. Over 1,513 students are enrolled in 13 different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District.
