(CGUHS) McKinleigh Marie Carrier was recognized Monday, March 3, as the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month during the district’s Governing Board meeting. McKinleigh was nominated by her CTE AgriScience Teacher, Ms. Kaylin Buzard.
“McKinleigh is a 2nd-year AgriScience student and FFA member. She is currently serving as the Casa Grande FFA Treasurer. McKinleigh is incredibly involved in the program through her Supervised Agricultural Experience of raising a market pig for the Pinal County Fair. She has spent over 200 hours working with her pig. Her time was spent on various activities including feeding, cleaning pens, bathing, training, attending livestock shows, and even teaching her pig how to sit for a treat. McKinleigh goes above and beyond in everything she applies herself to whether it is working with animals, serving her community, or her academics. You should be very proud of yourself, we definitely are!”
McKinleigh’s parents are Mr. Jeff Carrier & Mrs. Stephanie Carrir of Casa Grande, Arizona.
Over 1,624 students are enrolled in 13 different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a different CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor.
