(CGUHS) The Near Space Research Team is making incredible progress as they wrap up their payload assembly and load their custom code into microcontrollers. While the code compiles successfully, they know the real test is in execution.
Key Updates:
- Emily Geen designed and received the PCBs (purple boards) this week and has been soldering all components.
- Peyton Posey & Hailianna Rodgers put their enclosure to the ultimate test—dropping a 30-pound rock on it five times. The result? It held up like a champ. They’ve also conducted cold and heat testing to ensure electronics survive extreme conditions.
- Landri Howard has written Python code to import and analyze flight data, ensuring they’re ready to populate their symposium presentation with real results.
- The AZ Space Symposium poster is nearly finalized, and the team is rehearsing their presentation tomorrow.
This hardworking team is gearing up for an exciting weekend of science and discovery. We can’t wait to see them shine.
