Welcome Back, CGUHSD Learning Community,
I hope each of you had a refreshing Spring Break, filled with cherished moments spent alongside family, friends, and good times that will linger in your memories.
As we return today, I want to share an important enhancement to our safety measures aimed at ensuring the well-being of both our students and staff. We are excited to announce that we have received a Safe Schools grant from the Arizona Department of Education, which will fund a dedicated full-time School Resource Officer for both Casa Grande Union School and Vista Grande High School. This innovative approach allows off-duty Casa Grande Police Officers and Pinal County Deputies to volunteer for shifts during their off-duty hours, meaning that our campus will welcome a variety of skilled and uniformed officers every day. This grant is in effect until June 30, 2026, providing us with a sustained layer of security. A heartfelt thank you to Tina Ogle, our diligent grants director, whose unwavering commitment and hard work made this vital initiative a reality to enhance the safety of our campuses.
To our seniors, the countdown to graduation has begun — just two months remain! Let’s unite in our efforts to finish this final quarter strong. I eagerly look forward to celebrating your remarkable accomplishments as you take this significant step during the graduation ceremonies.
Stay strong and keep pushing forward!
