Ms. Marimar Cayabyab’s English 12 class (CGUHS) took part in a “Satire is Dying” activity in preparation for writing satire as part of their Quarter 2 requirement. Ms. Cayabyab included a lecture on satire and discussed the editorial text, “Satire is Dying Because the Internet is Killing It”. After the discussion, students collaborated to develop satirical titles that target societal issues in their community. With the help of this group activity, the students were able to work together and discuss contemporary issues with their groupmates. Visit the English Department at
