(CGUHS) In Ms. Stephan Noya's English Language Arts (ELA) 12th Grade classes, students participated in a collaborative activity designed to enhance their ability to identify literary elements in literature, such as imagery and symbolism. The class was divided into groups, with each member assigned a specific role: leader, scribe, artist, and presenter. Each group received a stanza from a poem (A Lady of Shalott by Alfred, Lord Tennyson) to analyze and identify these elements. After their analysis, they were tasked with creating an artistic representation of their findings and presenting it to the class. A rubric was provided to clarify the grading criteria.
