(CGUHS) Shoutout to Mrs. Nancy Hayes,
Exceptional Student Services (ESS) Teacher, who was a recipient of the APS Supply My Class grant last October. Mrs. Hayes wanted to make sure the grant made an impact where it was most needed. Instead of stocking up right away, she asked her Cougar Hour students what supplies they needed. She then made the thoughtful decision to hold onto the grant until the second semester so her students could start the new year with a fresh set of essentials. On Tuesday, January 7, her students returned to class to find spiral notebooks, folders, mechanical pencils, highlighters, and pencil bags waiting for them. Mrs. Hayes also extended this generosity to the students in her co-taught classes, ensuring everyone had the tools to succeed.
