FROM YOUR ADMINISTRATION TEAM

PNC Updates: All Students that currently have a PNC in any class will receive an attendance contract, an email with the Students Plan for success to complete, and an Attendance Credit Appeal form. All Attendance Credit Appeal forms must be completed by November 29th to be considered for an Appeal. Attendance Credit Appeal forms can be picked up in Coach Howell’s room B 104 or from your grade level Counselor. Appeals will take place December 2-6th.  

UPCOMING EVENTS

The Student Council will be hosting a Veterans Day Dinner here at Union today November 14th from 5pm-7pm located in the “L” Building. We will honor all who have served and continue to serve our Country. Their bravery will never be forgotten. Please invite family or friends to join us! 

DECA 
The 2nd Annual DECA Yard Sale is this Saturday, November 16th, from 8am-12Noon, in the student parking lot.  Please come shopping, there are many items to choose from including kitchen items, sporting goods, furniture, clothing, and toys.  If you would like to donate goods for the yard sale, or know of a food truck owner, please contact Mr. Carter in the DECA Room, K102. 

JROTC 5K Color Run scheduled for Saturday, November 16, has been cancelled.

Fine Art Department Announcement
Hello Cougars, the Fine Art Department is excited to invite all students, staff, and teachers to our second annual Student Showcase Concert on November 18th at 6pm. This free event will showcase the wonderful talent of Band, Guitar, and Dance. Come celebrate the amazing work these students have done within these programs.

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

It is just 1 week until the College and Career Fair during lunches on Tuesday, November 19th Some of our representatives will be Arizona Christian University, Chandler Gilbert Community College, and ASU. You will also see Hexcel, Casa Grande Fire Department, Frito Lay, and Capstone Career Center.  

Seniors: 
Do you have questions about the college admissions process or want to know what it takes to be an Arizona Wildcat? A representative from the U of A will be in the library on Thursday, 11/14 from 11:30-1:30 to answer your questions and assist you in the process.

10th Graders this one is for you! If YOU have LEADERSHIP qualities or experiences, YOU are eligible to attend the Summer 2025 HOBY LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE in Arizona with 10th graders throughout our state! We have exactly 1 month to complete YOUR APPLICATION PROCESS. Look for more detailed information about HOBY on the daily announcements and in your school email. You may email or come see Mrs. Crank-Townsend for more information and for help with the application process.  

CLUBS & ACTIVITIES

Are you interested in joining our winterguard program? Come to our clinics on November 18th, 20th and December 2nd and 4th from 6-9pm. No experience is needed. We will be meeting in the band room.

Renaissance Ambassadors 
Meeting every Tuesday in the Library 

RENAISSANCE 
GOLD AND silver renaissance card holders. Take your renaissance card to the bookstore to get your free parking pass, reminder these are only valid for each quarter, so every quarter you will have to renew your parking pass and make sure you’re still meeting your silver or gold requirements. IF YOU ARE NOT YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY NEXT QUARTER. 

Join us at Young Life Club on Mondays at 3:20 in room D101. Discover why you are here. There are games, snacks, and meeting new friends.

FRESHMAN STUDENT COUNCIL MEETINGS every Tuesday morning at 7:45am in A195. All are welcome. Please join us to plan and to help with future fundraising events. 

The Sophomore Student Council Class will be having a meeting on November 19th @ 7:45am in room F209. Hope to see you there! 

NHS:  
1. The NHS Can Food Drive-please bring in cans to the teacher of your choice.  The teacher with the most cans can win donuts for their class. It ends next week-Wednesday 11/19 
2. Please read the email I sent about volunteering. 
3. NHS members -don’t forget to pay your dues at the bookstore

FREE hot cocoa for anyone who brings in canned food to room E103 from 7:45 to 8 each morning for the rest of November  

Key Club is all about Kindness so come and sign up at the door of E103 for a variety of opportunities for you in the month of November and BRING IN THOSE CANNED FOODS to count as service time!

ATHLETICS

Congratulations to Addisen Owens and Tyra Vaughn on making the 5A Sonoran Region Volleyball Honorable Mention Team for 2024-2025. 

Boys Summer Basketball- Holds have been placed on your account. Please meet with Mr. Owensby or Coach Howell to see what you are missing. You will not be issued a season uniform if you have a hold on your account.  

Boys Basketball: Today will be the last day for JV (A) and (B) Tryouts. Final rosters for JV (A) and (B) will be posted Thursday November 14th after lunch.  Varsity football players will get a tryout when the football season officially ends. Boys Varsity Basketball will host their Pre-Season scrimmage verse Desert Sunrise today at 6pm. Questions, please see coach Howell.
