All-State Guitar Festival


(CGUHS) This year marks Arizona’s first-ever All-State Guitar Festival, a prestigious event celebrating the best young guitarists in the state. Over 100 students from across Arizona competed for a spot in this elite group, and we are incredibly proud to announce that two of our own have been selected.

Please join us in congratulating Maylia Leal (SR) and Amya Ortega (JR) for earning their place in the inaugural All-State Guitar Festival ensemble. Their hard work, dedication, and talent have set them apart. This accomplishment is a testament to their passion for music.

Maylia and Amya, we are so proud of you for representing Casa Grande Union High School at this state-level event. The performance will be held at the AZMEA Conference at the Mesa Convention Center on January 31st and February 1st. We can’t wait to hear about your experiences and see all that you will achieve!

Guitar is instructed by Mr. Benjamin Dague, Fine Arts Teacher.
