GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

PNC UPDATE: If you are a student with a PNC, today April 21st is the PNC Credit Appeal Form deadline. If no appeal form is submitted, you could be DENIED credit in classes with a PNC! See Mr. Howell asap if you have a PNC.

Dance Concert: Staff and students, the dance program invites you to our Feel The Spark Dance Concert on May 2nd and 3rd in the CGUHS Auditorium. Pre-sale tickets will begin to go on sale on April 21st for $3. You can buy these tickets at the bookstore. After April 30th, tickets will only be sold at the door for $5. Come support your fellow cougars and the amazing work they have done this year! 

SENIORS

Seniors if you ordered announcements or frames, please stop by the library to pick them up! 

Senior shirts are for sale in the bookstore. $10  

EVENTS

Soak~ A~ Senior is today 4/22 during both lunches. Come out and watch Seniors get soaked with water!

Student Council Speeches will be this week.  Please plan on to attend in the auditorium during Cougar Hour.  Please report to your teacher for attendance.

Phoenix Fan Fusion is an annual multi-genre pop culture convention celebrating fandoms like comics, anime, movies, TV shows, gaming, and more. It features celebrity guests, panels, cosplay, gaming tournaments, an exhibitor hall, and countless fan experiences. Come to E103 to sign up today to donate! Remember, if you are a senior you will also earn a RED CORD for your graduation. 

Do you know someone who is a survivor or currently struggling with cancer? Vitalant and Union would like to honor them at our upcoming Blood Drive. Come to E103 to pick up what is needed to have them featured on our HONOR WALL. 

COUNSELING

Grand Canyon University will be hosting an event in Casa Grande for all seniors Tuesday, April 29th 5:30pm-7pm at the CGUSD District office. At this event, you can learn more about Financial Need scholarships, Trade Certificate options (CNC Machinist and Electrician), FAFSA completion assistance, and more! GCU will also be proving Chick-Fil-A dinner to all attendees. Come get help with your FAFSA!  

TUTORING

Students Just a reminder that Math, Science, and English Tutoring is in the L-Building on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:20 p.m. - 4:20p.m. 

CLUBS & ACTIVITIES

Link Crew: Calling all current 10th and 11th graders! Are you interested in being a leader on campus and welcoming the freshmen to our school? Do you want to mentor those freshmen throughout the school year? Then please join us in the Olaski on Thursday April 24th for an informational meeting about applying to be a Link Leader.

Mu Alpha Theta (Mu is pronounced “mew”) 
Big News, Mathletes and Math Enthusiasts! Get ready to celebrate the return of the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society at Casa Grande Union High School! Are you a current 9th, 10th, or 11th grader who wants to build a stellar college resume, enhance your math skills, and connect with like-minded peers? This is your chance to be part of a renowned club that values academic excellence, teamwork, and leadership. Mark your calendars and bring your curiosity to the Club Interest Meeting on May 1st (Thu), from 3:30-4:00 pm, in Room F106. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about what the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society has to offer—competitions, camaraderie, and a world of mathematical adventures! Ready to apply? Grab an application form from Mrs. Harrison at F106, or from any of your math teachers. Be Bold. Be Brilliant. Be Mu Alpha Theta! 

Do you want to drum? Are you interested in being part of an award winning group? The CG Drumline is holding percussion workshops and auditions. We will meet every Monday and Thursday from 6:00pm-9:00pm starting April 24th. No experience needed. 

Percussion Workshops will start Thursday 4/24. They will run every Monday and Thursday from 6:00-9:00pm 

KEY CLUB – HAPPY APRIL! All members come and sign up outside E103 for the events happening each week before the spots fill up! BLOOD DRIVE volunteers can pick up their permission slips outside E103 TODAY... 

FRESHMAN STUDENT COUNCIL MEETINGS on some Tuesday mornings at 7:45 in A195. All are welcome. Please join us to plan and to help with future fundraising events.

Sophomores and New Jrs-your NHS Applications are due to D102 by Wed April 30th-make sure I get your essay and letters of recommendation too.
