World Languages

(CGUHS) World Languages' Hispanic Heritage Month Fiesta was held on Thursday, October 3. The event was a resounding success, with our students’ Mexican bands being the stars of the show. The performers included Abraham Landeros (accordion and lead singer), Luis Sotelo (guitar), Rogelio Gonzalez (23/24 graduate, guitar), Adrian Villalobos (lead singer), Uriel Serna (guitar), and Kevin Osornio (guitar). They truly showcased their talent, and we couldn’t have done it without them. What a great way to show pride in our Hispanic heritage!

There were three food trucks outside the cafeteria serving Sonoran hot dogs and churros (DD’s Hot Dogs & Churros), kettle corn (Fry’s Kettle Corn), and Kona Ice. They remained busy even after the party ended. The organizers (Spanish teachers) were very happy with the outcome and are already thinking about how to make next year’s Fiesta even more fun. We appreciate the many teachers and staff who joined us.

¡VIVA la Hispanidad!
